José Pascal da Rocha is a neutral transnational mediator, negotiator and lawyer in Crisis Intervention, Human Rights, Corporate Affairs and Conflict Management for international organizations such as the UN (New York, DPA/MSU), the EU (Directorate for Environmental Affairs - Crisis Response Section), NATO (Senior Officer and Transnational Political Advisor), the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Eastern European and Russian mediation schemes) and national organizations (e.g. Enfants du Monde - Droit de l'Homme, Amnesty International, etc.) as well as for a diverse client base of Corporate and Fortune 500 companies. He has gained extensive experience in volatile environments and violent crisis since 1991 and he has expanded his knowledge into the Corporate environments in terms of Strategy and Communication expertise. 

He teaches on Conflict Resolution and Negotiation at several institutions around the globe, such as the Master of Science Program, Columbia University, on Gender, Diversity and Inclusion at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK and on Communication and Cultural Studies at the Martin-Luther-University in Halle, Germany. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at CUNY, School of Professional Studies, where he teaches in the Online M.S. in Business and Management.
He holds a J.D. in German Law, LLB in French Law, a Master of Mediation (M.A.) and a Master of Media and Intercultural Communication Studies (M.A.), as well as diverse certificates from renowned institutions. 

He has written on several societal issues such as Gender and Diversity and his latest contribution is a chapter on Interculturality in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Work, Editor: Mustafa F. Özbilgin, ISBN: 978 1 84720 335 9, Edward Elgar Press, Northhampton.
His forthcoming publication is a contribution to a work on Sustainable Development, commissioned by UNDP and SIPA.

He is soon to become Associate Professor at the Southern Federal University of Russia, Rostov-on-Don for a Master program in Cultural Studies and Conflict Resolution.

Apart from traveling, Pascal runs marathons, cooks and indulges into plays and dance productions. He lives in New York, Paris and Berlin.
